If you're in need of a lazy day, a day off from exploring Toledo, then relax in your hammock, cool off in the splash pool, or explore the nature trails for good birding opportunities, regular sightings of our resident troop of howler monkeys, and other assorted critters. Your room rates also include:
> free use of bikes
For the occasional days when you're not off exploring, feel free to make use of our rustic cruiser bikes to cycle into town and the surrounding PG area.
> WiFi access
We are proud to promote a 'tech-free vacation', but WiFi is available at the Ex-Servicemen's Bar and in your cottage.
> CULTURAL NIGHT Wednesday
Stay on a Wednesday and enjoy a complimentary 1-hour session of Garifuna Drumming on the Hickatee Cottages verandah (4 person minimum required, 6pm)
> Fallen Stones Thursday
Stay on a Wednesday and Thursday night and enjoy a free visit to Fallen Stones Butterfly Farm (departs on Thursday afternoon, half day experience).
We have over a mile of jungle trails through the property, which is home to a surprising array of wildlife! As you follow the trails winding through the trees, you may spot toucans, butterflies, quash, and jaguarundi, or watch the iguanas dropping into the small creek. We don't guarantee it, but you're almost certain to hear the roar of the howler monkeys at some stage during your stay, and there's a good chance of spotting them 'in the bush'. Keep an eye out for tracks - we've recorded tracks of both jaguar and tapir here.
