natural beauty, cultural diversity ...
The only 'ridge to reef' destination in Belize, Toledo offers a wealth of activities off the beaten track for lovers of nature, adventure, and culture.
Once you've explored our trails, relaxed in your hammock, cooled off in the splash pool, and cycled the local area we are on hand to help you organise any number of trips to explore the District. From snorkelling, manatee watching and fly fishing in the Port Honduras Marine Reserve to cave swimming at Blue Creek, exploring the District's national parks and hiking through the rainforest, or stepping back in time at the Maya sites of Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit, Toledo really is terrific!

an important note
Whilst one of Toledo's major attractions is that it IS off the beaten track, this also means that tourism is in its infancy and that tours are not always available at very short notice. If you have specific activities in mind, something that's a 'must-do', then it's probably best to make advance arrangements. Toledo still retains an old-fashioned courtesy and charm, and most tour operators will still take bookings on trust. Please don't abuse that trust - tour guides may well have turned down other work, and transport and food arrangements will have been made, so 'changing your mind' really isn't an option.
As non-Belizeans we are not a registered tour operator, so arrange tours through registered tour operators, who are committed to responsible tourism, and who use only Belizean, fully-qualified tour guides to give you a quality experience. We do not receive ANY commission for tours, and payment for tours should therefore be made direct to the tour operator on the day of your trip.
